PMMI - US packaging machinery shipments up 6% in 2013; secondary packaging takes on dual role

U.S. packaging machinery shipments increased by 6 percent, to $7.9 billion, in 2013; and a rise in retail-ready packaging (RRP) is changing the role of secondary packaging, according to PACK EXPO owner and producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies.

Rengo Co., Ltd.'s Thai joint venture company, Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. has acquired a 100 percent stake in D-In Pack Limited, through their subsidiary. D-IN is a corrugated box manufacturer operating in Nakorn Pathom Province (Thailand) with an annual capacity of approximately 15,000 tons.

Evergreen Packaging 3Q 2014 packaging and paper revenues rise 4% from year ago

OAKLAND, CA, Nov. 21, 2014 (RISI) -Evergreen Packaging revenues rose 4% to $444 million in the three months ending Sept. 30, 2014, parent company Reynolds Group Holdings reported.

Operating profit in 3Q was 11% higher to $60 million and net income showed a loss of $1 million.
