Mexican containerboard prices stay flat in October-November; imports grow even with weaker Peso

SAO PAULO, Nov. 18, 2014 (PPI Latin America) -Prices for both domestic and imported containerboard remained stable in Mexico in October over September and are unchanged again in November, sources toldPPI Latin America. Domestic recycled linerboard is being traded for Peso 7,800-8,200/tonne ($575-605/tonne), which is the same level as a year ago.


Tetra Pak to stop production at its Lund plant in Sweden by the end of February 2015

BRUSSELS, Nov. 18, 2014 (RISI) -Tetra Pak will cease production of packaging material at its factory in Lund by the end of February 2015. The move follows the firm's announcement in August that it would close the facility.

The consultation process with unions and employees was completed and some 250 jobs will be cut, a spokesperson from the firm said.
