Pratt to build 360,000 tons/yr recycled containerboard mill next to big Valparaiso box plant in a $260 million project

OAKLAND, Sept. 20, 2013 (PPI Pulp & Paper Week) -Pratt Industries announced plans to build a 360,000 tons/yr recycled containerboard mill adjacent to its massive Valparaiso, IN, box plant for completion by July 2015. The company must still complete the approval process for the new mill, but hopes to break ground by March.

SKG to upgrade recycled containerboard PM 1 at Roermond mill in the Netherlands

BRUSSELS, Sept. 19, 2013 (PPI Europe) -Smurfit Kappa Group (SKG) has revealed details of its Euro 40 million ($53 million) investment in its recycled containerboard Roermond mill in the Netherlands.

The firm is set to upgrade its 225,000 tonne/yr PM 1 and fit it with a new rewinder.
