US containerboard mills pull back from inventory brink; prices stable, but some pressure going into yearend

OAKLAND, Oct. 18, 2013 (PPI Pulp & Paper Week) -US containerboard inventories dropped by 47,500 tons in September as mills downshifted on production and actual box shipments increased because of an extra shipping day, according to latest industry statistics released this week.
