MWV Rigesa buys new corrugator for Pacajus

SAO PAULO, Nov. 18, 2014 (PPI Latin America) -MWV Rigesa, the Brazilian subsidiary of MeadWestvaco (MWV), has announced the acquisition of a new corrugator from BHS to be installed at its Pacajus plant, in Ceará state, northeast Brazil. Rigesa's plan is to increase corrugated board output and sales in the region by 15-20% in the next five years.

Mexican containerboard prices stay flat in October-November; imports grow even with weaker Peso

SAO PAULO, Nov. 18, 2014 (PPI Latin America) -Prices for both domestic and imported containerboard remained stable in Mexico in October over September and are unchanged again in November, sources toldPPI Latin America. Domestic recycled linerboard is being traded for Peso 7,800-8,200/tonne ($575-605/tonne), which is the same level as a year ago.
