US box shipments still flat in August, while containerboard inventories edge 5,000 tons higher and operating rates again at 96%

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 17, 2014 (RISI) -US box shipments in August declined 3.3% on an actual basis, but rose 1.3% on an average-week basis (adjusted for one less shipping day in the latest period) from a year ago, the Fibre Box Assn (FBA) reported.

Year-to-date box shipments were down 0.4% on both an actual and average-week basis.
